Educational Planning Based on MBTI and Strong

With new semester started in September, the Shenzhen Middle School holds the Parents’ Conference for Grade 11 students of International Curriculum as a routine. As grade 11 is a critical stage for students’ preparation for college application, the meeting is well attended with more than 300 parents and students, some of them are sophomore students of grade 10 and their parents. The International Curriculum organizes the meeting. A team of foreign faculty presents their professional teaching practices and shows their confidence on helping students to achieve higher goals. Experienced Chinese faculties have joined their efforts, sharing their very nice work and achievements. The Director of the International Curriculum, Mrs. Gao, has shared her insights and taken an overall view on the progress of whole program and challenges ahead.

As the guest speaker, Mr. Kent Xu, the General Manager of KCG and KCG’s Adviser, Mrs. Fan, attended the conference. Kent shares KCG’s concept and practices on Educational Planning based on evaluation of students’ personalities through instrument of MBTI and assessment on their interest based on the inventory of Strong. This is a comprehensive planning from educational point of view, covering planning on academics study, developments on personalities, personal qualities, hard skills, career preparation and school placements. Even for imminent demand of the students on college application, Mr. Xu mentions, the identification on interest and personal preferences, will help students on differentiating themselves from others. For long run, MBTI and Strong provide scientific formats and open a window for students to explore their path on education, career and even destinies for life.
