Toast to MIT IAP 2014 in South China

The MIT Alumni Association is currently celebrating its annual Toast to IAP which is held simultaneously in January 2014 around the globe. MIT South China Community joined the celebration by holding a Toast to IAP 2014 event yesterday at Zi Jin Gang Club, 20 Jing Tian Rd.E, Fu Tian District, Shenzhen, China.

The gathering was well attended with more than 20 people including alumni from Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Hong Kong and friends from investment communities. In addition to celebrate the IAP 2014, organizers invited some alumni and local investors from famous VC/PE funds to deliver key notes speeches and to share their insights and observations about the new trends of VC/PE industry in China. Another topic that attracts people’s attention was Education. A few alumni in educational area and many attendees that are concerned about the future of Chinese education had quite a discussion about the status and challenges Chinese educators are facing. The event ended with dinner reception. All the participants were satisfied with the event and were willing to attend the next gathering. Mr. Kent Xu attended this event as coordinator.
