The 2nd MIT-InvenTeam from Shenzhen Middle School

In the past week, the 2nd MIT-InvenTeam from the Shenzhen Middle School has attended their showcase of EurekaFest organized by the Lemelson-MIT Program at MIT. 6 students and 2 teachers from the school, led by a mentor of MIT alumni, Mr. Zhenwei Zhao, has travelled long distance from China to participate this exciting event attended by a fantastic group of talented students from multiple countries. These young students shared a great deal of experiences on inventing and practicing what they learnt at school to solve real world problems.

Shenzhen Middle School has demonstrated their invention of a new concept bicycle with an embedded locker which will structurally prevent any stealing from practical point of view. This is the second team from this school to represent China since this program’s inception in 2010, together with another famous school from Beijing, the Beijing #4 Middle School, to participate MIT-InvenTeam and EurekaFest show at MIT.

As an alumni mentor, Mr. Kent Xu has actively engaged in the Shenzhen Middle School MIT-InvenTeam, together with Mr. Zhenwei Zhao, since the program’s commencement in 2010. Both mentors are pretty proud of the team’s performances and show their interest and passion to continue on supporting the program.
