Boy Scout Initiative in Wuhan, China Sunday, Feb. 24th, 2013 Boy Scout, as the largest youth organization in the world, had its presence in China many years ago. Now some pioneering people in China are making some efforts in multiple cities to re-introduce it into China. Wuhan, as the city where the first fire was shoot on toppling down the Qing Dynasty, is one of those places. Some Boy Scout organizations and activities, training have been done under the assistance from the Scout organizations in Taiwan. There will be a group of around 100 potential tutors from Wuhan and they will be trained in Taiwan this summer as announced today in this city. Their purpose, being align with the Scout¡¯s Mission Statement, is to nurture good virtues into youth¡¯s education, something like discipline, loyalty, courageousness, and helpfulness etc. |
